ABOUT ABOUT

On August 16th, Thursday Infused and The Herb Somm present “Summer Fusion,” a gourmet celebration highlighting the culinary creations of renowned pop-up chef, Haejin Chun of Big Bad Wolf, paired with infusions by Monica Lo of Sous Weed. This groundbreaking collaboration showcases how a traditional chef can tastefully explore cannabis as an ingredient by partnering with an herbal expert to create a menu that inspires the senses. Welcome to the future of modern dining!

Please note that Thursday Infused is not a traditional dinner. It is an educational event that features an interactive 30-minute happy hour, a seated infused tapas dining experience, artisan confections, cannabis education, and more.

About:

Haejin Chun is the founder of Big Bad Wolf, an edgy and popular gourmet series in San Francisco that specializes in Korean-influenced cuisine. Haejin has a natural gift with ingredients. Never attending culinary school, she identifies herself as creative, combining her love for food with her passion for hosting gatherings and dinner parties, which stems from her travels in Paris where she lived for two years. Haejin’s success has been a journey. Her progression of many long nights, losing sleep over sauces, and putting in the intensive work to learn the ins and outs of cooking have paid off.  Some of her greatest dishes have been the ones that she was the most unsure about, the challenging recipes that she refused to give up on. Piece by piece, these milestones have turned into affirmations that have helped her become the chef that she is today. Every burn and cut, and every time she threw out an off recipe, lead to "paying her dues.” Big Bad Wolf embodies her vision to create a climate for a new type of gathering over food: a sweet spot between dining out and an intimate dinner party amongst friends. Her cooking is a meal that’s approachable yet elevated, familiar yet offbeat. A homecoming after a long journey away, or simply, to soothe all those cravings we feel when missing the comforts of the things that draw us back to where we came from.
